Replace your Roblox YouTube trailer before September 30
YouTube videos will be removed from game pages starting September 30. Upload a replacement through Creator Hub and allow time for approval.
Roblox will begin removing existing YouTube videos from game detail pages on September 30, 2026. Developers who want to keep a video on their game’s page need to upload a video file directly through Creator Hub. Roblox confirmed the date in its September 18 announcement.
The change completes an earlier transition to direct uploads. Adding new YouTube videos has already been unavailable since November 2025; this next step removes the videos that remained on game pages. An existing YouTube link will therefore no longer be enough to keep a trailer featured.
Upload the replacement now
Open Creator Hub and select the game. Go to Configure, then Places, and choose the relevant place. Open Videos in the left navigation and upload the file. Roblox says these uploads are free. The replacement must pass review before it can appear on the game detail page. The announcement includes the upload steps and video guidelines.
Use the migration to refresh stale footage
Our recommendation is to choose footage that shows what a new player will actually do. If an older trailer features a map or mechanic you have removed, replace that section with current gameplay. Show the game’s appeal clearly without promising something players will not find.
For a studio with several games, make a short list of pages that still use YouTube and assign one person to replace their videos. Submit before September 30 to leave room for review or revisions, then check each live page after approval. This keeps the migration from becoming a last-minute gap in your game’s presentation.
