Roblox has opened Promotional Text in beta to all creators starting November 3, 2026. According to the November 3, 2026 announcement, the optional game-settings field separates brief update, mode, event or status information from the game name. It gives teams another place for details they currently squeeze into titles.
Availability is not uniform visibility
Roblox says long names can lose both identifying text and update details when space is tight. Promotional Text is intended to address that problem, but its display remains experimental. Over the coming weeks, Roblox will test name treatments and promotional-text placements with a small audience, starting with new users.
Tests focus notably on Home and game details pages, including Recommended For You and Continue. Placements and appearance may change, and creators may not see every variant. Roblox says the saved game name will remain unchanged. However, some test users may see shorter names on certain tiles when names contain emoji or information in brackets or parentheses. The beta has no scheduled end date.
Try a focused metadata update
Our recommendation is to review your current game name this week for secondary information that could stand apart from its recognizable name. In Creator Hub, open Creations, select your game, then open Game details to enter Promotional Text. Start with a current feature or update, and revise the field when that information changes.
We'd start by checking the visible placements available to your team and recording where text is cut off or unclear. Treat those observations as feedback on the beta, not proof that every player sees the same presentation or that the change improves playthrough.
