Roblox expands Earnings ads and adds earlier return estimates

More eligible games can use the Earnings objective. Reporting adds USD, Creator Rewards and estimated returns while campaign earnings are still arriving.

Roblox is rolling out its Earnings advertising objective to eligible creators, targeting availability for nearly 30,000 games. The objective entered beta in May; this is an expansion alongside reporting changes. Eligible games show Earnings during campaign setup, according to the October 2 announcement.

Reporting now shows earnings in USD as well as Robux, adds estimated return on ad spend (ROAS) before earnings fully arrive, and includes Creator Rewards, Immersive Ads and Rewarded Video. The reporting guide explains the attribution windows, which vary by player history and can run up to 30 days. Ads Manager earnings exclude subscriptions.

Video in Sponsored Tiles remains planned for the coming weeks. Easier viewing of campaigns across groups is also described as coming soon.

Check an estimate against the later result

Our recommendation is to check whether your game has the Earnings option, then choose a modest test budget and a review date. Record the objective, audience, creative and spending limit before launch. Keep major shop changes separate so the comparison is easier to interpret.

Treat estimated ROAS as an early signal. Revisit the same campaign dates after the attribution window has closed and reporting has caught up. Note how the estimate differs from the later result, using consistent date ranges and audience filters.

A reported return above advertising spend does not establish profit: other costs still matter, and attribution alone does not show how much income would have happened without the campaign. Roblox’s announcement discusses separate randomized studies of additional activity. Decide what result would justify another test before seeing the numbers, then use the report to make that spending decision.
